I am a newly divorced 49 year old father of 3. I have a very deep faith and the number one thing in my life is my relationship with Jesus Christ. It has been 6 years since I started my discipleship journey. It has been crushing and difficult, but also the very best part of my entire life. I allow God to fill all of my needs now and believe that only through submission of our lives to Him are we able to be servants to others on His behalf.If we are not filled by Him, then we treat ourselves as gods and then use others to fill our needs. Also, we are meant to be dispensers of His grace. I am very interested in meeting a person who is mature in their faith, intelligent, active and wanting to explore a lasting relationship. There are many things I have learned from my failed marriage and am very thankful that He has changed me. I believe that I have a lot to offer the right person. I do not drink, but have no problem with someone who does, as long as it is in moderation and in context. Also, I am not at all legalistic or religious (in a negative sense). I love to attend various churches and am comfortable in almost any setting. I do not stay away from "the world" as I believe we are to be a light to the world, so we are supposed to be in it. There is no secular and spiritual separation of lives. Work is as much a part of the Kingdom as a church building. I also do not "preach" or "evangelize" in a traditional sense. I give account for the hope that I have when asked, but look just to be a light and dispense grace. I do not believe it is up to us to convince or convert people to our point of view. God is quite capable on His own. As an entrepreneur and an innovator I enjoy business, but also do not require my mate to share the same interest. The outdoors, travel, sports or just good conversation is great. For the right person, I am willing to do as Christ did for the church. I interpret the man's position as the "head" to mean we are to give up our life for our wife. First submitting to you on behalf of Him. Some translations refer to the woman as the "weaker" partner, I do not subscribe to that translation. The one I believe is in context is "Fine China" a "ewe lamb" who we are to cherish and love. The lady that I will have a relationship with must be in a similar spot as me spiritually.

I love good conversation, so anything involving that. I love the outdoors and have a cabin in the forest near great fishing lakes. My interests are very diverse and am game to try anything someone else enjoys. I also am ok doing nothing and just spending quiet time together.

I have had many goals that I have achieved and turned out to be hollow and unfulfilling. In the worlds view, I have been a success. My goals are not those of the world now.
