I Would Describe Myself As

Some things about me: I try to be honest although I may need to join a "hair colorer" anonymous group. Commitment is important for me, not the institutional kind (but there have been times when I thought about volunteering); my commitment to God comes first. My philosophy is that life should be fun, adventuresome, full of great conversations, and a real appreciation for people and their uniqueness; afterall, our lives as Christians should be great adventures in reaching the world for Christ! What do I like? I love challenges, romance, history, and archaeology. Once I climbed a Mayan pyramid in a jungle to the top and surveyed of swarms of multicolored butterflies and tropical birds. On a semi-treacherous trek in the mountains, I navigated narrow paths to a mountain side cave where Quiche Indians still practice ancient rituals. I am in love with Italy, Naples in fact. The earthiness of the place crys out to my soul and I long to be there exploring the city markets and gathering places as well as the ancient streets of Herculaneum and Pompeii. My ancestry is English, Welsh, and Scots. I don't play bagpipes, but I wish I could. Some times I write stories and attempts at novels. I live life in the "now", not in the past and not in the future because that is either gone or not here yet. I see every new day as an opportunity; would you like to be part of that?

Traveling to places on my "bucket" list to see ancient ruins and archaeological sites. Riding Space Mountain at WDW at least a gazillion times! Lounging on a villa terrace in Sorrento, Italy appreciating the richness and incredible experience of gelato. Digging in the earth and planting all kinds of plants and flowers. Sitting at the lakeside park where I live, watching the prop planes flying close over the water at sunset.
